Last week during my trip back to NY, I participated in a seasonal photoshoot orchestrated by Long Island's very own, premier sneaker/streetwear boutique, Extra Butter! If you're not familiar with these folks by now, well then you're just losing! They always provide amazing photoshoots with each collection they have in-store, literally, and this time is no different. Instead of doing individual shoots for each brand, they bridged them all together with die-hard supporters, fans & familiar faces in the streetwear scene as their models. They have some great brands like 10 Deep, Mishka & Amongst Friends in-store and this is what the photoshoot showcases. Below are my shots from the shoot, but you can view the whole lookbook HERE. With the store fully stocked with a variety of looks and styles from our favorite brands, we had no choice but to provide you with an inside look at the best of what this season has to offer. Thus, I introduce to you the “Official Selections” Fall 2011 lookbook. You can thank us later. As the first part of a 3-part series, this lookbook is packed with tons of heat and features the crew keeping it trill in some of the more athletically inspired pieces we have available here at the store. Here’s an idea of some of the aforementioned heat you can expect to find within the pages of this guide to Fall freshness:

Philadelphia takes pride in being one of the largest resource for art in the US and the mural arts program is an excellent example of that by showing what Philadelphia has to offer with outstanding visuals in every area of the city. About 100 murals are put up in the city every year done by artists from many diverse backgrounds leaving every area untouched. This month mark's Mural Arts Month to celebrate Philadelphia's Mural Arts Program. In honor of that, I've compiled a few photos of murals I stumble on frequently around Philadelphia. Starting off with the mural below, which can be found on the corner of 20th and Arch going towards the Franklin Institute or Logan Square. Philadelphia Mural Arts - 20th and Arch Street If you ever drive down South Broad from Center City a lot, you can't miss this mural on Broad and Lombard in the parking lot of a Subway. Philadelphia Mural Arts This mural resides in a parking lot across from Fiso's Lounge near 15th and South. It is dedicated to famous Philadelphian billiard player, Edward "Chick" Davis. Philadelphia Mural Arts - Edward Chick Davis Right over on Broad and Reed St, in the parking lot of a funeral home, is a mural of Philadelphia opera singer and actor Mario Lanza. Philadelphia Mural Arts - Mario Lanza All my buddies live on Dickinson St in South Philly, so I frequent this mural near the 1600 block of Dickinson a lot. Philadelphia Mural Arts Here's some history for ya. I've shot this mural of Frank Sinatra about three months ago, one of the most outstanding murals in Philadelphia that resides on Broad and Wharton in South Philly aside a 4-story building which was created in 1999. Over the past few months I've watched construction on the side of the building go from a 1-story to a 3-story residential cover up. It's somewhat upsetting that all you can see now is Sinatra's cap and the only explanation from the owner of the lot: "I need to build this house. It's legal." Plenty of locals are upset about it, but with this economy you're bound to lose a few murals in the process. Philadelphia Mural Arts - Frank Sinatra One of my favorite murals is behind a Rite Aid on Broad and Christian. It's not as serious as the rest and has an imaginative and playful feel. Reminds me of a Philly version of Where the Wild Things Are. Philadelphia Mural Arts - Christian Street I have no knowledge of this mural except that I pass it a lot going to my local Shop Rite. It's spans about half a block long. Philadelphia Mural Arts - Shop Rite near Columbus Blvd and Snyder Ave Even Chinatown has a few murals in place. Philadelphia Mural Arts - Chinatown A mural in the parking lot of Save-a-Lot on 13th and Washington in South Philly. When you're in South Philly you'll see how multi-cultural it is when it comes to the people and this particular area is a heavy mix of asian folks. Another year, another great Mad Decent Block Party. This year proved to be Mad Decent's largest block party in Philly and they sure as hell didn't disappoint. As usual, I've captured tons of faces I've managed to run into and a decent amount of activity going on. Another year, another great Mad Decent Block Party. This year proved to be Mad Decent's largest block party in Philly and they sure as hell didn't disappoint. There was a weird turn of events here, and I don't know how it happened but our fellow ANML; Aja (@_ItsCrazy) kept falling getting pushed in the kiddie pool. Last weekend was our Sex On The Beach bbq + hse party, which was complete fun! We had bbq food & alcoholic drinks on deck, but I think it was the sad mixture of Four Loko and Everclear that got everyone in a warrior mood. Yesterday, I headed out to the Roots Picnic to document some of the happenings. Just like last year, I typically shoot the surroundings and experience rather than all the performances. Yesterday, I headed out to the Roots Picnic to document some of the happenings. Just like last year, I typically shoot the surroundings and experience rather than all the performances. Although, I couldn't leave some of the performances untouched. With the list going from Wiz Khalifa to The Roots to my all time favorite Nas, the crowd was defintely enjoying every last minute of the performances. Almost 2 weeks ago I attended the Grand Opening of Cultured Couture Vintage; a new high-end vintage boutique with thrift shop prices, located in the outskirts of Northern Liberties in Philadelphia (near The Piazza). Before even walking in, I noticed that the window treatment was clean cut and straight to the point with their classy logo emdossed on the glass. I saw a lot of familiar faces so I chopped it up with them but I was anxious to step inside and hope that the pieces I came to pick up were still there! I'd have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome of the event. Not only was it packed, but there were many fashionable ladies & gents in attendance. The whole vibe was chill, respectful and pleasantly surprised. Shoutout to DJ Jae Atchlei for killing it on the music tip tho!

Cultured Couture was conceptualized and executed by 2 friends of the AnmlHse brand and veterans in the Philadelphia scene, Erik Honesty & KR. I've been told that this brand was being put in the works for a very long time before actually getting the perfect storefront. When I describe the store as being cheap, that's in no way a reflection of the name brand pieces they have acquired over their 5 years worth of thrifting. They have major luxury brands in store like Brooks Brothers, Lanvin, Christian Dior & MCM as well as common classics such as Ralph Lauren Polo. The pieces range from blazers, sport coats, men's shoes, women's handbags, luggage, sunglasses and almost everything else you can think of. The price range? Anywhere from $12 all the way to $78. Depends on what you're looking for but I guarantee it's worth it!

I mean, who doesn't like a drunk Grizzly Bear, or a sexaholic Rabbit. It's just adorable, no? Anywhoo you guys will be seeing more of these mascots soon, hopefully.
