Finding this, here, this music. Finding this music here was something of a phenomenon. Seldom do I find something this good on Tumblr. Be prepared for the least researched post that will probably come from me, starting now.
Ndeluv. That’s all I know. A name. Ndeluv. Where he, or they is from I do not know for sure, but that’s not important. What is important is the beautiful music being put out under the name Ndeluv. In a world of Weeknds and Frank Oceans, it’s good to have finally found someone with a certain je ne sai pais about them that just gravitates good taste. After seeing a visual from the project #HoodMusic on Tumblr, I can say I’ve been a fan. Incredible sound. Reminds me of Daniel Merriweather over a Teebs or an Knxwledge beat. But regardless of who it sounds like, the one thing for certain is that it sounds good. I won’t dwell on it too much and let the music speak for itself, hopefully a fan can be made out of those who read this, but do this one solid, and listen.
It had actually been a while since I had seen any updates or heard any music from this artist, and granted I just brought him up on Twitter I figured, let’s make a post about him. This artist being Robert Roy, Jacksonville native, Los Angeles transplant. Music with a cult following, and one justified. A rapper of sorts, but he doesn’t rap like an ordinary rapper, as cliched as it may sound. I found out about Rob Roy about a two years ago, right around the time the Fur In My Cap video was making its way around the internet, and of course posted on the Alife blog. Since hearing that one song I’ve been a fan ever since and have waited around since for more music and jumped on it with every release he’s made. His album King. Warrior. Magician. Lover was phenomenal, and the footage of live performances pre-KWML has left fans searching the catacombs of the internet for HQ audio of those songs performed.
Since the summer of 2010 when his remix to Kanye’s “Power” and Soulja Boy’s “Turn My Swag On” the releases have been sparse, however the quality of music has always excelled the last song to be released. But of course, as the time in between songs released became longer, he soon faded into oblivion so to speak. Which from a loyal fan’s perspective, pains the heart in all honesty. But, after a bit of searching here and there, Rob Roy has risen from the abysmal wave of trend following internet users and has regained status within the world of indie music. By the name of Robert Raimon Roy. According to his Kickstarter profile he’s working on a “short-short film” as well as his album and music videos to go along with it. For starters, the eclectic synth heavy “Little Egypt Wavy”. Consider this, an introduction.
So, in the last 5-10 minutes, there’s been a bit of an announcement being made in regards to bloggers and such on the ANMLHSE site. First and foremost let me take the time to thank and recognize the homies Kareem and Jonny for “putting me on”, greatly appreciate this opportunity. As a long supporter of ANLMHSE as a whole and everybody I’ve come to know in the last couple of years, now being able to contribute in one way or another this is that crack. That ’94 Tommy Wright III, ’99 Mobb Deep. This is greatness.
Who am I? I’m an 18 year old with a fickle taste in music, and as far as I’ve been told, a good sense of it. Don’t expect this to be some sort of Rolling Stone, Fader type of blog. This is simply my thoughts, opinions, profiling and all things alike. There’ll be showcasing of new music, older music, and music of mine as well (Yerp, I be rapping and $#!T). Don’t be discouraged with the hints of hip-hop flowing through this post as you read this, I’m not a one genre music fanatic. Expect postings and profiling of artists and songs from all genres. The entire music spectrum will be traveled up, down and across. So be on the lookout, check back every now and then for the grandeur, the gems to be dropped, and all that good stuff you would want in a music based, or centered blog.
I’m Grande, and this is a ANMLHSE blog pilgrims. Let the trill wave fleaux.
