When we first started this last year, the purpose of this project was to introduce folks to the people in our young generation bringing life to Philly and representing the city in every way they possibly can. Whether through art, music, or just plain entertainment, these fine folks weren’t ashamed of where they were from and showed it. This year we expanded to the DMV, with the help of JuJu and 1st Impressions Studio, to introduce some of the folks that support us and are also making an impact in their area. You’ve probably seen us rockin our new Snapbacks in the last month or two. Or maybe even seen them in party photos, but for those who haven’t here’s a sneak peek (the design will also be available in crewnecks as well). For the past few months we have been working hard on delivering our Summer line to our dedicated supporters. As some of the heavy followers may know, some of us either go to school all year round or work all year round, so making this a full time mission in the independent field is always the toughest part. Being a brand heavily surrounded by the college lifestyle, we took a step back this season to figure out where exactly we would like to take this brand. The answer to that is simple…FORWARD! We’ve learned a lot in our first year as a brand, had some monumental experiences, and we’re still growing. We have tons of ideas to expand our brand and will continue to keep striving for that goal.

As for this season’s collection, we thought we would try something different. As cliche as that sounded, the idea has been sitting there for a year and this was a great opportunity to go with it. We drew inspiration mainly from Who framed Roger Rabbit while incorporating some of our fondest memories of mid 90’s afternoon school specials, such as Duck Tales and The Mighty Ducks. You might say we’re a bit too old for this stuff, but “We can do anything we want! We’re college students!”

So without further adieu, AnmlHse proudly presents Summer 2009 : Season of the Mighty Anmls.

This week has certainly been the busiest of the summer and I just haven’t had the time to sit and post any new content. As Reem mentioned in the previous post, the simple life is way behind us as we are growing into a much more established and mature brand. As he also mentioned, we have an upcoming photoshoot on the way (HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY). We have been planning and preparing for months for this line and the presentation will sure be more visually stimulating than the norm. As you’ve noticed from some of our prior projects, we are more about developing new ideas that are creative and fun to work on while getting the folks around us involved. This new project is something that we are all excited about capturing and delivering to our audience. And if you are just tuning in with us, FYI – Ad Campaigns aren’t our only specialty.
