AnmlHse x Hollywood House jumpin off this Friday, March 5th with a Hip-Hop vs Reggae night. This is going to get crazy. Not to mention there’s 2 floors to party on, a beer pong room and we got our infamous 2am grind session poppin off too. WASTED!
New mixtape for your listening pleasure from the Sim-Plex homies. Loving the new tracks, I suggest you download and be apart of something EPic. It’s not all the time that you get to catch good music before the mass media gets a hold of it (IE: Drake), so get on it now while the homies still grindin. Download the mixtape HERE and enjoy!
Good afternoon fellow ANMLS. I’m letting you all in on a little secret of mine. If you don’t know already, then yeah I’ve been kidnapped by the Tumblr world. Blame it on this snowstorm and major boredom. funny thing is I had a Tumblr like 2 years ago but I abandoned it once I started posting content on here daily. There’s many things I want to share with you, but for the sake of bombarding the AnmlHse blog with my opinionated views I decided to create a side project of my own. I’m going to try and update it daily all the while maintain the brand image we portray on here at the same time. Difference is my personal blog will be no holds barred freedom of expression. Your going to see lots of comedy, videos, secret updates I can’t post here and definitely random rants that I tend to go on. It’s also a way to keep me off Twitter as much as possible lol
Big up to my homie AIME for spittin some truth right here. Here’s a quick snippet of the freestyle taken by Jonny Rabbit. Stay tuned, you’re gunna hear more from AIME real soon!
Good Hip-Hop producers are a commodity these days, but consistently great underground Hip-Hop producers are very hard to find these days. But to meet a cool, down to earth dude as talented as Remot is definitely a rarity (pronounced Remote or Re-Moat). I don’t even remember how I linked up with the homie, but I’m sure I was geekin’ out while tellin’ him how much I enjoyed the track he produced for the Adele 1988 (ReMixtape). He has worked with other talented artists/producers such as Mick Boogie, Kidz In The Hall, U-N-I, and even a personal favorite of mine; K-OS. Not to mention awhile back he won a Jay-Z remix project hosted by HipHopDX.com, called American Gangster Remoted which I recently downloaded HERE.
Be on the lookout for his currently untitled Instrumental LP that he’s finishing up sometime this month, presented by Mick Boogie & AnmlHse. Nice! We’ll be promoting it and it will be available for download soon! By the way, below are some mixtapes that Remot has done some production for. Viva La Hova (What if We Cry, Back at My Place), Le Da Soul – 20 Years Of Soul (Hey Love by Chip Tha Ripper) and Adele – 1988 (First Love by Naledge of Kidz In The Hall). Check it out! And to all my Hip-Hop Artists out there, definitely hit the homie up for some dope ass production.
Also, you can download this little bundle of joy HERE. It’s a compilation of 4 dope songs with production by the homie. One of which is a track with U-N-I and another is a remix of a K-OS track. Enjoy!
Pure radness! Make sure to check out Tigersapien Friday, February 26th at MarBar! This one is sure to be a rager with the fellow ANMLS in attendance and DJ’s Sammy Slice & PHSH on deck. The first person to drop a comment below with their FULL NAME, (TWITTER URLand/orEMAIL ADDRESS) will get a free ticket to the show +1 (2 tickets in total) courtesy of Tigersapien & LiveNation! After you comment, AnmlHse will contact you for your free tickets to the show @ Electric Butter.
I woke up this morning to a tweet from my homie about a Black Superhero Exhibit in NYC and I had to look into this. After a few minutes of fast-paced google searching, I found a link to the Art Collective; Somos Arte and their official website for the Exhibit HERE.
I’m such a huge fan of comic books, especially when dealing with the Marvel brand. They have so many interesting Black characters, and it’s funny how true they try to stay to the culture considering most of the writers are not Black. Either way, I can say this looks to be like a really dope Art Exhibit to swing by, especially being Black History Month and all.
There’s original artwork in this exhibit by some of the greats; John Romita Jr, John Cassaday and even Editor-In-Chief of Marvel Comics, Joe Quesada himself.
Maybe this is a way to kick knowledge to a younger sibling or child about the importance of Black culture and to rekindle your inner child as well (that’s if you’re not a comic book geek). Get there before February 26th cuz after that they’re taking this show on the road! More info at SomosArte.com!

LOVE: And so it goes… I’d like to take the time out to thank everyone for all the love and support you guys have been showing us recently. With the re-release of a very beloved Project of ours, we are humbled by the positive response we have been getting on our work. It’s been an amazing 2 years, being an official brand and all. The first year we made many mistakes but ultimately we learned from them. We made countless connections with great people by being genuine, down to earth and fun to be around. Our artform speaks for itself, whether it be the art of networking, designing and promoting. People seem to connect with us and we’re honored to have such a strong fan-base in the Philly-DMV-NYC-Jersey areas, among others. Anyhow, we are definitely on a roll the past 6 months and I feel that our work from day 1 speaks for itself (December ‘07). We started as a bunch of college kids who loved to party and wanted to wear our own designs and now we’re a legit brand with strong supporters and a focused mindset. I want to thank everyone that took the time out to come to our parties, take part in photoshoots, help promote our endeavors, buy our clothing, visit our blog, blog about us, tweet about us, take photos with us, drink with us, people who wanna collab with us and especially everyone listed in our “Family” section up top.
HATE: And now the hard part… With great success and admiration, there seems to be a void among the “streetwear” bigwigs. Sad really. Being that we don’t consider ourselves to be a streetwear/lifestyle brand, I guess it’s only right you wouldn’t find our stuff being on any of the major “hyped” blogospheres. Funny how certain brands don’t take notice of the power you have until they need you or until they are forced to take notice thru popular demand. I mean at the end of the day, it’s cool with me. We are who we are and we always will be genuine, artistic and trendsetting people who have a better sense of the “street” than these other OG brands. I could keep going on and on AND ON about this subject but these are my views and not the views of AnmlHse so I’ll refrain from tending to this rant any more LOL
THE FUTURE: These last few lines are dedicated to the future of this brand. Well, we have our new collection dropping in the next few weeks. Some of the designs from the new collection have already been dropped at various retailers/online sites but will be available for sale in our online shop, ”The Zoo” really soon. We are also working on our Summer collection as we speak and have many monthly parties/events for all you party ANMLS out there who are getting tired of this cold, snowy weather. Again, we truly do appreciate all you guys who visit the blog and stay updated on the ANML antics. 2008 was about progression, 2009 was about branding and 2010 is all about expansion. Support your local scene :O)
